ScanQR Go Terms of Use

Terms governing your use of the ScanQR Go iPhone app and related websites

Effective Date

September 20, 2026

1 Agreement and Scope

Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using ScanQR Go, you agree to these Terms of Use and the ScanQR Go Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

"ScanQR Go," "we," and "us" refer to the developer who publishes ScanQR Go through the Apple App Store.

For questions about these Terms, contact us at [email protected].

2 License and Code Permissions

License

Subject to these Terms and applicable Apple App Store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use ScanQR Go on Apple devices that you own or control.

Except where permitted by law, you may not:

·    Sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the App.

·    Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the App's source code.

·    Bypass security measures, technical restrictions, or usage controls.

·    Interfere with the normal operation of the App, advertising services, analytics services, or related systems.

·    Use ScanQR Go to create a competing product, dataset, or service.

Permission to Use Code Content and Images

You must have the necessary rights or permission to scan, create, save, copy, export, or share any QR code, barcode, image, text, contact information, Wi-Fi details, link, or other content used with ScanQR Go.

You retain ownership of content that belongs to you. You grant ScanQR Go limited permission to process the content you select or enter only as needed to provide the feature you request.

3 Code Scanning Generation and External Services

QR Code and Barcode Tools

ScanQR Go may provide tools for scanning QR codes  through the camera, recognizing codes in selected images, displaying decoded results, generating supported codes, maintaining local history or favorites, and saving, copying, or sharing results.

Feature availability and recognition quality may depend on:

·    The code type, size, contrast, orientation, and condition.

·    Image clarity, lighting, focus, and camera performance.

·    Your device model and operating system version.

·    Available storage and device resources.

·    Permissions granted to ScanQR Go.

·    Network availability when you choose to open an external link or service.

Some codes may not scan or decode as expected because they are damaged, blurred, incomplete, unsupported, incorrectly formatted, or protected by technical limitations. A decoded result may also be incomplete or inaccurate, so you should verify important information before relying on it.

External Links and Actions

A scanned code may contain a website address, email address, phone number, contact record, message, Wi-Fi information, product identifier, payment destination, or other external content. ScanQR Go may display an available action based on the decoded result, but you decide whether to continue.

External websites, applications, networks, payment destinations, and other services are operated by third parties. Their availability, security, content, transactions, terms, and privacy practices are outside our control. Review a destination carefully before opening it, connecting to it, making a payment, or providing information.

4 Acceptable Use

Prohibited Activities

You may not use ScanQR Go to:

·    Violate applicable laws, regulations, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or the rights of others.

·    Scan for distribution, create, copy, save, export, or share content without the required permission.

·    Create or distribute malicious links, malware, phishing content, misleading payment codes, unauthorized tracking content, or other material intended to harm or deceive others.

·    Attempt unauthorized access to the App, its systems, or third-party services.

·    Overload, disrupt, probe, or interfere with the App or related services.

·    Bypass security controls, usage limits, or technical restrictions.

·    Misrepresent generated, altered, copied, or shared code content as authentic, official, or authorized when it is not.

You are responsible for reviewing decoded information, generated codes, saved images, and external destinations before opening, using, exporting, or sharing them.

5 Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content and Privacy

You retain all rights you hold in the images, text, contact details, links, Wi-Fi details, generated codes, and other content you use with ScanQR Go.

ScanQR Go normally processes camera frames, selected images, decoded results, generated codes, favorites, and history locally on your device. When you choose to open a result, share content, or use another application or service, the relevant information may be sent to the destination you select solely to complete your requested action.

Data processing is further explained in the ScanQR Go Privacy Policy.

Do not create, save, copy, or share confidential, regulated, legally protected, payment, network, medical, financial, or other highly sensitive code content unless you are authorized to do so and understand how the receiving service will handle it.

App Intellectual Property

The original interface, design, code, graphics, text, icons, logos, and other elements of ScanQR Go are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Third-party libraries, code-format technologies, and open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices. Third-party names are used only to identify compatibility, formats, or service providers and do not indicate endorsement.

6 Availability and Ending Use

Availability and Changes

We may maintain, update, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue certain features when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, third-party service changes, technical maintenance, or product operation.

We do not guarantee that every QR code format, recognition function, generation option, sharing action, external service, or other feature will remain available in every region or on every device.

Updates may change the App's interface, compatibility, requirements, or available features.

Ending Use and Access Restrictions

You may stop using ScanQR Go at any time and may delete locally stored history, favorites, generated codes, or saved results, or remove the App from your device.

We may limit access to certain features when reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, abuse, security risks, technical problems, third-party service requirements, or legal obligations.

Removing ScanQR Go may also remove information stored only within the App. Content previously saved to your photo library, copied elsewhere, or shared with another service may remain outside the App.
